Your Favorite Blog: Excellence. →
chrisfafalios: I am very much looking forward to a couple weeks of EXCELLENCE. Tomorrow we have a Punchline show in Cleveland, then a hometown Holiday show in Pittsburgh on Thursday. Then we release our new iTunes EP next week, which contains what I do believe are the best Punchline songs ever written/recorded….

Creative Writing...MCR
Well, before my free time is consumed with my online winter course, I’m in the midst of writing a creative short story based around the song “Welcome to the Black Parade” by My Chemical Romance, for my brother, Kyle (unbeknownst to him, anyway). We both love the song (of course, who wouldn’t?) but I had a vision of a battle between good and evil. Monsters, (zombies...

Aw man...
Well, by the looks of it, I didn’t get that ESPN job…they gave it to some grizzled vet, but hey, it’s all good. I was lumped into a group of 5 others that all have graduated college and have a degree to be writing for sports journalism, and I’m just some sophomore English undergrad student from a state school. Perhaps next year…

ESPN? Maybe...
Right now I am being considered along with 5 others to help out on an ESPN-affiliated sports blog for the New Jersey Nets. There’s one spot left, and it’s going to be tough for me to get it, and it most likely will not happen because I’m a 19 year old in college, and everybody else is in their mid-twenties with journalism degrees, sitting around all day looking for a job. But...

Feeling pretty glum...
Remembering the good ol’ days of Track and Field and Cross Country in High School…regretting that I did not put in all the effort that I had wanted to. Upsetting that it took me until my sophomore year in college to realize what I should have done 4 years ago… Check out my blog post about it on jtlabriola.com! Direct link to the post
