“In these promises broken
Each word gets lost in the echo”
~~ Linkin Park, “Lost in the Echo”
Pretty much sums up what was happening. I became so enveloped and lost in the echo of the crowd singing and Linkin Park rocking out I was just so gone in a wave of exhilaration and musical intensity. The concert was this year’s (2012) Honda Civic Tour with Incubus at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater. Sooooooo damn good.
“So I, I won’t be the one
Be the one to leave this
~~ Linkin Park, “In Pieces”
Pretty much describing that time I did a cartwheel/handstand and shattered my collarbone into a bunch of tiny pieces. Now I have a metal plate in my shoulder with eight screws! Woo!
“It’s easier to run
Replacing this pain with something numb”
~~ Linkin Park, “Easier to Run”
aka, I went for a run today hahaha
Kinda lost track of time this weekend and forgot to post the days and such for the whatever-day challenge, so I’m gonna be posting 3-4 today! My apologizes if I blow up the feed with a bunch of days, but I’m just trying to play catch-up.
Going to try to spread them out in a few hour intervals.
“I’ve become so numb, I can’t feel you there”
~~Linkin Park, “Numb”
Become so numb because you get crazy butterflies!
“When my time comes,
Forget the wrong that I’ve done,
Help me leave behind some,
Reasons to be missed.
And don’t resent me,
And when you’re feeling empty,
Keep me in your memory,
Leave out all the rest”
~~Linkin Park, “Leave Out All the Rest”
Perfect lyrics for this one…
“I’ve given up.
I’m sick of feeling,
Is there nothing you can say?
Take this all away,
Tell me what the fuck is wrong,
~~ Linkin Park, “Given Up”
“Together we made it
We made it even though we had our backs up against the wall
Forever we waited
And they told we were never going to get it”
“We Made It” ~ Linkin Park and Busta Rhymes
“I need a little room to breathe,
Cause I’m one step closer to the edge
I’m about to break”
“One Step Closer” - Linkin Park
Song: “Joker and the Theif” - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqqIAy-d8vM&feature=related
First heard this song on Rock Band, and was instantly hooked. The opening guitar riff is really damn hard when you first play it, and eventually you kinda sorta get used to it enough to put together a decent streak….sometimes. But anywho, the song always gets me pumped and is always a must-have on my workout playlists when I’m going for a run. Always just gets you in the “zone.”
